Acknowledgement We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Country on which we gather, the Yuggera and Turrbal peoples of Magandjin/Meanjin, and their continuing connection to land, waters, and skies.
We pay our respects to their Elders past and present, and to all First Nations Peoples, whose cultural knowledge remains in their own custodianship. Sovereignty never ceded.

First Nations Community Calendar

Truth-Telling gathers once a month. Between our sessions, a great deal happens across Brisbane and South-East Queensland that deserves support: exhibitions, festivals, talks, film screenings, Yarning Circles, and community days. One calendar gathers them, and we point you to it.

First Nations Community Calendar
Brisbane and South-East Queensland · updated every week
One page gathers the First Nations community, cultural, and ally events across Brisbane and South-East Queensland, weeks ahead. Each listing gives the date, the place, why it matters, and the organiser’s own link, so you can check the details and book in advance while seats are still available.

Our Mitchelton Truth-Telling sessions appear there alongside everything else, and anyone can submit an event. Uncle Bill Lemson, with support from Philippe Foubert, keeps it at unclebill.online.

Get Updates

A weekly update email, normally on Friday morning, lists the events added that week. When a listing arrives with too little notice to wait for Friday, an extra email goes out so that readers can reserve in time. Leave your first name, last name, and email on the calendar page and the updates come to you. That list belongs to unclebill.online and stays separate from our own RSVP and reminder emails.

Our Sessions

Truth-Telling gathers at Mitchelton Library on the first Sunday of each month, 2.00 for 2.30 pm. A guest speaker shares their story, their history, and their lived experience, and afterwards we share refreshments and conversation.
